Join Saratoga BLM on Monday, September 4th from 1-5PM in Congress Park for a day of community building and Black joy!
Local Black vendors from the Capital Region and beyond will be joining us for the first Freedom Flea in Saratoga Springs!
While you are browsing enjoy live performances from local musicians and poets too!
Family-friendly, enjoy art making and youth activities, while learning more about the Saratoga Youth Safe Space!

10 Years Later, We Still Shine for You: Remembering Darryl Mount
Join us on Sunday, September 3rd at 4PM in Congress Park to honor the life of Darryl Mount. We will celebrate his life and honor the lasting impact that he has had on our community with speeches, music, and food. The night will commence with a candlelight vigil in his name.
10 years ago Darryl Mount was pursued into an alley by multiple officers in the Saratoga Springs Police Department. Less than a year later Darryl tragically succumbed to the injuries he sustained from that night.
JUNETEENTH: POETIC COMMUNITY
We will be meeting up at the historic Frederick Allen Lodge for our last event of this year’s Juneteenth Celebration weekend.
Join us for a night of live music and poetry from local black artists. We will also be joined by Saratoga Springs’ first Poet Laureate, Joseph Bruchac!
We will be providing free African food for all attendees!
*All ages event, however some musical performances may not be appropriate for all!

Join Saratoga BLM for our third annual Juneteenth Celebration. Come together with friends, family, and neighbors as we commemorate Juneteenth and commit ourselves to the ongoing fight for freedom!

JUNETEENTH Pan-African Flag Raising
SARATOGA BLM’S JUNETEENTH WEEKEND 2023
This Juneteenth, join us on the steps of city hall for the first ever Juneteenth and Pan-African flag raising in Saratoga Springs.
We welcome you to bring your own Juneteenth, Pan-African, or BLM flags and signs! If you don’t have any, don’t worry we’ve got some for you!

Flag Day Parade
March with Saratoga BLM down Broadway for the city’s Annual Flag Day! BLM flags, Pan-African flags, lgbtqia+ flags, and signs are encouraged! 🖤🌈✊🏽
For the second year, we will be participating in the Saratoga Springs flag day parade. Walking in such a parade allows for our community to reclaim and redefine our own narrative within the broader American context, reminding others that Black people are an integral part of the nation’s history, present, and future.
***Look for the “Division 3” ballons at the intersection of North Broadway and Second Street to meet us for line up beginning at 11:15AM, so we can kick-off at 12PM.***
