What do we do?
Saratoga Youth Safe Space is a group intended to bring BIPOC youth (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) as well as LGBTQ+ youth, and allies, together to have a place of reflection, dialogue, and support - Safe spaces where youth can process their emotions, develop a sense of self, and build a common language to address issues of race, ethnicity, sexuality, and gender diversity.
The group meets bi-weekly, and offers a diverse set of activities at every meet up. In the past we have done art activities, a self-defense class, self-care & relaxation exercises, and a lesson on hair care & hygiene. We are always looking for ways to expand our offerings so every member can find something they are interested in!
If you have a child aged 10-13 or 14-18 who may be interested in the our youth group, email us at saratogayouthsafespace@gmail.com
